Sunflower

Image information

Description

The separate parts of this project were in a moving box for a long time. It took me almost three years to sit down and assemble it.

The motif is from a book called "Quilled Flowers: A Garden of 35 Paper Projects" by Alli Bartkowski. The author loves to use pastels to decorate quilled objects, which was also used in this sunflower project. The rims of the leaves are dusted in a darker green and the yellow petals turn orange towards the middle. In real life the effect is more obvious and pretty than on my photo, sadly.
