Gillington "Gil" Webber and Lagoona Blue are probably my favourite couple at Monster High. I love how romantic these two act towards each other - something that can't be said about Clawd and Draculaura, for instance, when Draculaura throws sticks for him or pets him like a dog. And Cleo and romance are two things that just don't go together.

Furthermore I like the tragic element of their relationship. He is the son of river monsters, she is the daughter of ocean monsters. That his parents hate Lagoona purely due to her heritage, try to make him end the relationship over and over and even send him to a different school so he can't see her anymore is sad and gives the characters depth which is very rare at Monster High.
