Nothing to show, but I got new mp3 albums.
Apart from almost all episodes of the Gruselkabinett ("horror cabinet") audio dramas (*) I got one album each of the following bands the following today:
- Faun (Pagan medieval folk, actually got 2 albums from them!)
- Subway to Sally (medieval rock)
- Oomph! (Neue Deutsche Härte, which as a genre isn't translatable. Closest is probably to call them Alternative Goth Rock)
- Schandmaul (Folk Rock with some medieval influences, got 2 albums by them too although I'm not quite so sure about the voice of the lead singer!)
I figured since I find myself listening to nothing else than Subway to Sally, Oomph!, Evanescence and HIM lately (apart from "Imagine" by John Lennon, which is the best song in the world, "Tribute" by Tenacious D and everything by David Garrett) I should better stock up a bit.
There is so, sooo much music I love, but in the end I always come back to German Alternative bands.
And since I have a really bad tinnitus (not a single silent second in about 4 weeks straight and most of the time I hear 3 different noises at once!) I listen to a LOT of music lately since else I'd go crazy. The noise is even louder than tv. You barely see me without headphones. If it doesn't get better with the things I do now (valerian all day and a special health pillow at night because my neck and back hurt like hell too) I'll have to see a doctor about it soon.
(* They rised steeply in prize so I quickly bought all that were available for the old price. Gruselkabinett is a highly acclaimed German series which covers stories of Gothic Romanticism like Poe, Lovecraft, Stoker, Robert E. Howard and even Jane Austin.)
MP3 got really expensive a few weeks ago, as did cds. Next up I'm lurking for special prices for the last Evanescence album that's still missing in my collection and more HIM, Oomph!, Faun, Subway to Sally, Nightwish (but only with Tarja) and Eisbrecher.
