When designing my lizardmen I thought long and hard about how many fingers and toes to give them. With only three fingers I didn't like their hands, they looked too crude. On the other hand I didn't like the feet with four toes since I wanted to draw them quite oversized.

In the end I decided that nature must have eliminated the "thumb" on their feet during their evolution.
