She awoke with a slight headache.
"Ooooh... honestly, you guys, you must stop those nightly moans, okay. Some people still need to sleep, you know." she said grumbling.
"Ooooooooooooooooh...." said one of the zombies.
"I said stop it!" Nareen stretched and got out of bed, when she noticed a lamp on the wall.

"Huh? What's that?"
"Good morning! So you noticed it too?" said Eternia from the other side of the room where she had slept in the armchair again. "It seems we're getting electric installations today. See, here's an installation too."

"Oh! Are we going to help?"
"Not me. I'm going to work. Your new friends are quite... odorous. I need a break."
"Aw, okay. I'm sure the house will look very pretty when you come back."

"It would be perfect if the zombies were gone by then..."
"Huh? Did you say something?" Nareen was busy shoving a zombie out of her way.
"No, no, I didn't. Just remember to open the windows for some fresh air, okay."
"Sure! Let's have a coffee before you go!"

The dolls went to have breakfast.
"You know..." said Nareen, "I'm so tired of eating peanuts all day."
"And I'm tired of wine gum hamburgers, to be honest." Eternia sipped some coffee. "Can you cook?"
"No, I'm afraid not."
"Darn. Me neither."
"At least we have a nice window now. I didn't know there was such a pretty forest behind our house."
"Yeah! The view makes the coffee taste better."

"Mrooooowaaaaaah!" groaned one of the zombies.
"Don't you two have any other hobbies than to follow me?" asked Nareen with a sigh.
"Maybe we can use them on Halloween to scare the trick or treatsters."

Later that day Nareen's patience was put to the test.
"Akshi, you spent all morning there in that corner. Now the lights are done and you still sit there. Don't you think it's time you came out to eat something?"

The hen shook her head vigorously.
Nareen talked to her in the softest, most appeasing voice. "They won't eat you, promise. These are nice zombies, really! They just want to play!"

"Gagockock!"
"Yes, I see that Pete joined you in your sit down strike and that he's as afraid as you are. But I bet he only does so because he thinks you're his big sister and it's best to act like you." Nareen scolded.

The pink-haired zombie stretched her arms out to grab Pete and both birds hid deeper in their corner.

Before Nareen could say more the scene was disturbed by a knock on the door.
"Huh? Now who would that be? Come in!"
