Libra led them along the wall to an unknown and serene part of the spacious garden which was still close to the dollhouse. Ice glittered on the trees and in the middle of a large, snowy glen stood a majestic fir tree.

"Nareen! Nareen! Come quick! It's perfect!" Eternia called.

"Coming!" Nareen wheezed. "You could have helped me with the garland, then I'd been faster and... Whoa! It's pretty!"
"Here we have all the space to party and the tree is top notch!" Eternia craned her neck. "It's huge though... I think we need Giselda to help us get the garland to the top."
"You're right. Let's go get her."
"Giseldaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Instead of walking back to the house, Eternia yelled on the top of her lungs.

It worked. The tiny wingling left the house and came over. In the meantime Libra waved her hands and heaps of tree ornaments piled up in the snow. "Get working then, gals!" she snickered.

"What is it, Eternia? Oh, what a pretty tree."
"Giselda, can you fly up there and help us make it even prettier?"

dollhouse301

"Sure!" Just a few flaps of her tiny wings and she stood on the treetop. "Phew! This is more exhausting than I thought. Throw up the garland!"
"Coming right up!"

Nareen took a shiny bauble from the package and hung it on the tree.

"Is this how it's done?" she asked.
Libra rolled her eyes. "Do you have any other ideas on how to hang a bauble from a tree?"
"This is my first Christmas, so don't be so harsh to me." Nareen just had to smile. This was a nice change from her former life.

dollhouse303

"Don't let her get you down." Eternia said from the other side of the tree where she was busy putting up the garland. "Maybe her bad mood is a genetic defect."

The faerie snorted. "It's my first Christmas too and I don't feel special. So no reason to get excited, in my opinion."

dollhouse304

"You will simply love Giselda's food, Libra. Then your bad mood will be gone."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"I mean the party, of course. Surely you'll come?" Nareen gave her a quick glance while putting up more decorations.
"What? You mean I'm invited?!" The faerie was completely taken by surprise.

dollhouse305

Eternia snickered. "Well, Giselda, what do you think? Is she invited?"
Without missing a beat the wingling chirped: "Of course she is! She gave us all these cute things and brought us the furniture and my cute hat and all. It would be rude not to cook for her, too!"
The redhead grinned. "See? Whether I like it or not you're absolutely invited."

dollhouse306

"The more of our friends come to the party, the more fun it will be, too!" Giselda added.
"You know, Nareen is often too nice for this world. But you are so sweet I think I'm getting cavities." Eternia sneered softly.
"Cavities?! Oh my! You think I should bake less sweets and cook more vegetables for you then?" The wingling was deeply disturbed.
"Nooooo! That's not what I meant at all!"

Eternia turned to Libra. "We're done with the tree! What's next?"
"Nothing left for me to do", the fairy said, "It's up to you to cook and decorate. I will deliver the presents when I get the order."
"Alright, see you at the party then!"

dollhouse307

"Girls, what else do we need?" asked the redhead.
Nareen looked around. "I think the garden is okay like this."
"We even have this cute reindeer!" Giselda added, happy again.
"I agree we should be done here. There's our old kitchen table in the back, we can use that to offer cold food and sweets. Maybe we can figure out something to sit on."

dollhouse308

Libra walked away unnoticed. She was grinning from ear to ear. "Whoo! I'm invited!"
While she put away her wand a thought crossed her mind.
"Hm. Perhaps I should make sure I'll get something yummy to eat."
