Gerbils
Image information
Description
Morrigan was never very interested in cardboard. She prefered wood. Hard wood.
I was lucky with my gerbils as they stayed active until their last days. They always diligently used their wheel (Belle) or dug trenches and mountains (Mo), they both gnawed a lot (and only in her last 2 months did Belle start to gnaw on the metal bars of the cage which is a bad habit born from boredom) and they always ate everything they were given. So they never grew fat, never needed their teeth or claws trimmed and they stayed healthy for a long time.
Morrigan began to pee blood one day and had to be put to sleep a week later when the meds didn't help. She was almost 2.5 years old.
