Confession: I bought the base model. The upper part can be taken off and the whole thing was made from brown papier mache.

The upper part was painted in several shades of pink before I glued beads to it. The white beads are plastic, the brown ones are wood and thus massive.

The lower part was painted turquiose first, then it was covered in wood or paper glue and glitter was added to that. After drying I added varnish, so it doesn't keep shedding glitter all the time.
