Since I liked the Fumiko made from felt so much I decided to make a version that is a bit more of my own. I enlarged the body by 10% (not the head), added seam allowance where appropriate and sewed it with the sewing machine. Since I wanted to be bold for once I decided on colourful fabrics with pretty patterns.

This fawn comes with some pellets in its legs, which doesn't really keep it from toppling over. Sadly. Apart from that I'm very happy with it. Since the ears were naturally a bit softer and weaker than the felt versions I sewed on little beads as earrings and thus fastened the ears to the head some more.
