Slowly I'm getting tired following instructions from books all the time and I try to make my own stuff instead. Still, the books are important for me, as a source of inspiration and additionally to learn new techniques. Playing around with pre-published sewing patterns is very useful to learn how sewing patterns work. Well, and of course the items shown are often super cute, I want to have them and I haven't bought any kitsch in years but made everything myself. Even something made following someone else's pattern is much more pretty than something bought.
