Free Spirit
Image information
This is a Free Spirit doll, crocheted following a pattern from Beth Webber's website:
http://byhookbyhand.blogspot.de/2009/07/one-of-things-ive-really-wanted-to-do.html
If you look around there for a while (and I guarantee you will!) you will not only find other great crochet patterns for human and animal dolls but also clothes and modifications for the Free Spirit.
My Free Spirit was a testrun. Since the finished dolls may be sold and she was introduced as a "crocheted Blythe" I wanted to see if I could use the pattern to make Seekers dolls. For that purpose I'm not so happy with the result though. Don't get me wrong - it's a superb pattern and a great doll. She is too childlike for Seekers though and compared to the SD dolls pattern that I work on myself she's not that much taller. So I will make a pattern of my own that is a bit more taller and curvy for my Seekers projects.
Still, I love my Free Spirit doll and am not sad to have made her!
