Horse handbag
Image information
Both horses were made for the most part with MyBoshi No1 wool. For this one I used the colours magnolia 138 and skyblue 151. The hair was made from thinner everyday wool (a cheap timesaver wool from the supermarket, to be precise) and the horn was made from white leftover wool in which I mixed golden stitching yarn.
The eyes are doll eye buttons from a fabric store and in addition to that I used up roughly half a metre of silver sequin ribbon and plundered my sequin boxes for the larger flowers and fastened those with some glass beads.
The horses cost me roughly 20 Euro per horse in material and about two weeks per horse in work. MyBoshi is eco-certified wool and not cheap. Still it was the cheapest wool I could find in this strength and pretty (!) colours.
At first I tried to enlarge the crochet pattern for a size 3 hook since that would have been much cheaper, but after a test I knew that that would have killed me. Not joking.
