Owlie still turned out very cute. It's also quite heavy.

Although this is quite fun I won't do that many sequin projects simply because they're expensive. The sequins themselves are quite cheap and the polystyrene model isn't that expensive either, but the nails are a toughie.
At least I found a cheaper alternative by now. These golden nails cost 4 Euro for 30 gramme at the shop. By now I use some from Knorr Prandell. I can get those in silver for 5 Euro for 50 gramme. Those last for quite a while but once I have been unlucky and got a pack where the heads of the nails varied too much in size. Many couldn't be used at all because the heads were smaller than the holes in the sequins.

I have another owl in the works, it will become a snow owl. That one will not be covered totally in sequins but also make use of glitter and paint. Owlie can be blinding and I want to see it with less blingbling.
