This fox was made from a newly released German booklet from Topp, called "Perlen-Sweeties sooo kawaii" by Nicole Nitzsche.

Although it was also done with nylon thread this fox is much bigger than the other animals using this Japanese technique and in addition it's in SD style (with a big head). To add stability these animals are stuffed which I find a bit unpleasant while working. The result is worth it though (if you ignore any stuffing that shows through).
The booklet is not really suitable for beginners. The Japanese technique requires lots of concentration anyway and at least for this fox some instructions were missing. E.g. the pink seed beads were not in the material list and not for all parts the right length of nylon thread was given. The introduction into the technique was also shorter than in the other available books so I would recommend starting with one of those and the smaller animals.

The only thing that makes me sad: I almost ran out of orange beads when making this and right now I can only get this colour at horrendous prices. Too bad. At least they lasted for the whole project though. I would have been very sad if a half-finished fox would have ended up on my Pile of Shame.
