Main Cast
Giselda
A young wingling woman who came to Yonar in search of adventure. She's supposed to pass her test to adulthood there, but isn't very eager on doing so and rejoining her clan. Giselda is quite naive, wants to be friends with everyone and loves animals, music and baking. Due to her insular former life with her clan in the forest there are many things she doesn't know about and she tries to quench her insatiable curiousity each day anew. |
|
Akshi
Giselda's hen companion. She easily gets frightened but would do almost anything for Giselda. |
|
Nareen Demetri
A human necromancer born with a rare ability. She first met the Seekers in search for recruits for the big Joust held in Yonar. Nareen is a calm and musing character with a work-related morbid streak. She decends from a noble family but fights against the roles determined for her life. Instead of being a necromancer she would have preferred to become a tailor. |
|
Cato The leader of the Seekers. Cato is a human fighter with a brash temper and the muscles neccessary to get away with her insulting comments. She's known for hanging out in orc pubs drinking beer and armwrestling the guys. She was a foundling raised by a traveling circus and nobody, not even her, has an idea where she comes from. |
|
Errol
The swordmaster amongst the Seekers. He's a lizaar (lizard man) and loves to exxagerate in battle and jump on tables. Even outside battle his behaviour is always flamboyant. His blade is his best friend, but he's utterly loyal to his companions too. As long as he can go on good, breakneck adventure he's confident with life. He hates nothing more than sitting around with nothing to do. When he's not training he loves to go for a swim. |
|
Aydron Nikara
The elvish elementalist of the Seekers. He's a beginner in spellcraft, but valued for his wide knowledge and his tactics. He holds a grudge against Cato and against necromancers in general and prefers to be alone most of the time to go about his studies. He's very ambitious and his biggest fear is that someone sees him fail. In contrary to his deceased brother he still believes that elves are superior to humans, thus he often portrays a quite cold attitude towards his companions. |
|
Tasso
The human rogue amongst the Seekers. Tasso seldom steals, but when the others need a picklock or someone to get information, Tasso's their man. He also cares for the group's financials since such a mundane task is below Aydron and Tasso can write and read best of the rest of the group. He has a loose affair with Ellis. Some point at his good educational background and murmur that he might actually be the spawn of a wealthy house but Tasso remains silent and tries his best to blend in with the others. |
|
Shokkot Felsspalter
Shokkot is a troll and the senior member of the Seekers. Prior to becoming a mercenary he worked as a weaponsmith and even today he takes care of the group's weapons and armour. Many wouldn't put it past him but he's even a formidable goldsmith. Although he's been a member from the beginning and worked under two previous leaders of the group he never showed any ambition to become leader himself. That requires too much talking and deciding. He's calm and firm as a rock, sometimes a bit slow. In the rare case where someone manages to anger him though everyone else runs for their life because he becomes nearly unstoppable then. |
|
Ellis
Besides Tasso Ellis is the main information person in the group. She's a skilled troubadour and uses music, dance and seduction to find out what she wants to know. On top of that she's also a skilled thief and in contrary to Tasso still has many connections to the Underworld from the days before she joined the group. She has an affair with Tasso which both don't take very seriously. Ellis can be quite rude which for her is a form of relaxing after using her charms on a job. She especially likes to pick on pretty women who might interest Tasso. |
|
Eloya Drachenherz
One of the three magistrates who rule Yonar. As an arch magician the good-looking wingling finances many libraries and magical research in Yonar and is very popular as patron of the numerous magic guilds. Apart from that he co-owns a flourishing trade company, the proceeds of which he uses to fund said research and excavations. He's especially popular with the ladies and it's no secret that the charming bachelor enjoys the attention to the fullest. He never talks about his age or heritage though. |
|
Sinnon
Secretary and personal servant of Eloya Drachenherz. Sinnon is a wingling adolescent who was allowed to take his fathers position after his death in an accident. He's well educated and does his best of managing the complicated life of his lord. He's open, enjoys the full trust of the magistrate, is friendly and utterly determined to make Eloya happy. Contrary to Eloya and most other winglings in the city Sinnon kept to the traditional style of wingling life, so he enjoys being outside and tinkering. |
|
Takchi
Giselda's childhood friend. He's deeply in love with her but only told her when she was just on her way to leave the clan. Takchi is a good hunter and protected Giselda from dangers after her mother died. Unusually for a wingling Takchi is quite stern and solitary. He dislikes to disclose his thoughts to others and his only goal in life seems to be to make Giselda his wife. |
Other Cast
Shara T'Rhavit
One of the three magistrates who rule Yonar. She's a greedy troll with a mean temper and unhealthy interests in jewelry and fat food. Shara thinks of herself as stunningly beautiful, while even other trolls see her as an ageing hag who saw her best days long ago. Rumour has it that she gained her wealth by financing raids on trade caravans and that she still has contact with some of the orcish bands of thieves. |
|
Kalimni Vadonius
One of the three magistrates who rule Yonar. When Shara and Eloya fight about politics he's usually caught in the middle and rarely dares to intervene. Although he's a dwarf and possesses the superior mercantile skills of his people he doesn't like to confront Shara and thus leaves the fights to the other two and waits for his retirement. While he seldom has an opinion in the political everyday affairs he's the magistrate who listens to petitions and complaints the most and spends a lot of time listening to the civilians. This makes him popular with the people. |
