Inside the dollhouse Eternia ran straight up the stairs to check on Giselda in the kitchen.
"Giselda, are you okay? We met a strange faerie and... whoaaaaaa!"
She stopped dead in her tracks, staring from the doorway.
A festive table with golden legs and chairs with velvet cushions took up most of the space in the kitchen now. The wingling stood on a chair and sorted things on the counter. When she noticed the redhead she smiled happily and waved her arms.
"Eternia! Look what the faerie brought us! It's a gift from the boss!"
"Wow..." was all Nareen could say when she came in and saw the new dining set.
Eternia made herself comfortable at the table. "Look at all the space! We can have visitors now."
"It's almost too noble for us, though." said the necromancer.
"What, you miss the cardboard table?"
Giselda was very happy. "I'm so relieved! With even my box gone, I was worried about reaching the counter. This chair is so much better! And they even delivered half of the appliances already."
Nareen laughed. "I guess now we don't have to worry about seating our guests for the Christmas party anymore!"
"If they don't mind eating with their fingers. I still don't have much tableware." Giselda giggled.
"Where is Elizabeth, anyway?" asked Eternia. "Giselda hasn't met her yet."
"I think she wanted to check on the livingroom first."
Said vampire had indeed wandered into the livingroom. She looked around as she peeled herself out of her cape.
"Well, if this is the improved version, I'm glad I didn't arrive sooner."
She grinned when she noticed Ozzy, Pete and the pixietails.
"It's a bit cramped but it will do for now."
Elizabeth made herself comfortable in the big armchair near the fireplace. The room was warm and cosy.
"Waaaah!" came a scream from the corridor. It was Eternia. "What's a coffin doing here?! By the seven hells!"
The vampire grinned. "Ah. So that's where my bed ended up."
"It's just a coffin." Nareen said. "Want me to check it for inhabitants?"
"Don't touch that thing!" Eternia shrieked.
"I just knew it! You ARE a vampire!" Eternia yelled on her way into the livingroom. Then she dropped on the new sofa, her jaw on the floor.
"Whoa... everything is new here!"
The change in topic was to Elizabeth's liking, so she just stayed silent and let her new roommate take in the view.
"Nareen! Come look at this! We have a window now!" Eternia watched the falling snow outside. "It's extra large and has curtains!"
"We also have a fireplace!" said the necromancer and held her hands out to the flames. "It's so warm! And we even have the fire-proof, magic crystal lamps that I could never afford back in Yonar!"
Pete had settled on the board atop the fireplace and the bird seemed very content with its new surroundings. Ozzy seemed pretty much unimpressed. As long as there was no dog, the little hedgehog was happy.
Nareen was moved to tears. "So she still does love us. I wonder why she did this, though..."
