Tamara and Eternia were still busy indexing the hat pool when Blanche floated towards them. The druid swirled and careened around her axis and stretched out her arms. "The colours! The colours! Oh, the pretty colours of the air today!" she shouted with joy.
Eternia grimaced. "What did she smoke today?"
Tamara also sighed. "Seems like Blanche found a funny mushroom again, huh?"
"Geez... Do we have to take care of this?"
"I'm afraid we do..."
"Actually it should be Charlotte's job to take care of her priestess..."
"Hey, Blanche! Are you... feeling well?" Eternia asked cautiously.
Enamoured, the druid was looking in another direction as if something wonderful was going on there, but she still replied to Eternia in her distant, dreamy tone of voice: "How could I not feel well? Do you see all the pretty colours? Ah, the splendour!"
"Err... sure. Say, Blanche, would you like to sit down? And a glass of water?"
"Water! Whee!" Blanche giggled happily and made wavy gestures with her arms. "Such nice waves! Oh, goodness! Do you see the dolphin?!"
"Uh-huh." Resignated, Tamara shook her head.
"I dreamt that I go away very, very far. Away from this enchanted forest and into a new one..." Blanche mumbled in a dreamy voice. This comment would almost have made sense if she hadn't said it to some invisible person behind her.
Eternia turned towards her friend: "Well, at least she has heard about the move. I suggest we quickly wrap her in foil and tell her it's candyfloss!"
"Are you crazy?! She might try to eat it then!"
"I'm not sure if we can prevent her from doing so at all..." Eternia was unsure. "If Dr. Black Jack was still here I would ask him for a sedative..."
"Or for a surgical brain replacement." Tamara's voice was dry.
"It wouldn't be the first surgery of that kind for him..."
Coincidentally the samurai Hoturi crossed their way. Eternia quickly greeted him. "Hey, Hoturi! Good day!"
"Good day, ladies. I was just on my way to you to check in."
"Oh, what a lucky coincidence!"
"I would have arrived sooner but first I had to find all parts of my inventory."
"Yes, the director wasn't that great at keeping things tidy, was she..."
"Far be it from me to badmouth our Lady Eph, but her mode of operation is rather unconventional, indeed."
"Goodness!" Blanche called in sheer ecstasy. "My feet! Someone stole my feet!"
Hoturi handed his weapons over to Eternia while watching the druid from the corner of his eye, who enthusiastically followed the hopping of an imaginery bunny with fervent nods.
"Say, Eternia, does she feel well?"
"Oh, Blanche always feel well", Tamara answered in her stead and rubbed the root of her nose. "But if she ever offers you something to eat you should decline, samurai."
Eternia sported a slanted grin. "As she says."
"Appalling what opium can do to a person", the man said pitying. Tamara wanted to reply but was interrupted by Blanche who yelled: "Look how I fly! All without feet!"
"Err... okay" Eternia cleared her throat. "While we're talking about it, dear samurai. Our "Lady" requests that for safety reasons all travel is conducted in pairs."
"I understand."
"Now, you are strong and brave enough to endure the travel. Is there a chance you're kind enough to attent to a weaker person?"
"As I said, I understand." The samurai kept a stern face. "To protect is my reason to live, especially when it's about protecting our Lady's vassals."
"Lady Blanche, please come this way." Without delay, the samurai went into action and gently took Blanche's arm.
The druid let herself be dragged along willingly but kept looking in the other direction in excitement. "Goodness! I'm flying backwards! Now it will be spring soon!" Her laughter was bell-like.
"Indeed, the days get longer again", the man agreed while hoping that the woman wouldn't loose her very losely fitting dress. She didn't wear any underwear, which he tried to overlook.
Eternia battled impending headache. "I'm so happy we don't have to deal with this..."
Tamara was relieved, too. "Take care she doesn't eat any foil!" she yelled after the samurai.
"I will take care of it", Hoturi promised while helping Blanche to enter the box.
The druid laughed and hugged her foil. "Whee, I can ride the dolphin! Dear dolphin, have you seen my feet?"
Tamara's face was a stern mask when she said: "Of course they aren't as good fighters as we are but those samurai sure are brave, I've got to hand them that."
"Indeed they are. You see me shaken by that amount of nobleness." Eternia was deeply impressed and as thanks took extra care to package Hoturi's weapon securely.
